After the incredible successes of Broadway on the High Seas 6 in 2016 and Broadway on the High Seas 8 in 2017, Playbill Travel decided to bring this Caribbean incarnation back by popular demand. Join Playbill Travel and Broadway’s brightest stars as we cruise through the Caribbean, beginning and ending in San Juan. Chase away your winter blues and sail through paradise while seeing seven islands in as many days.
After departing San Juan, the ship is scheduled to take us to St. Thomas, St. Barts, Les Saintes, Bridgetown, St. John’s and St. Maarten before returning to San Juan. We will have opportunities to snorkel, kayak, sightsee, sail, and, of course, sunbathe on the beautiful array of beaches.
As always, Playbill Travel will bring along a wonderful lineup of Broadway stars who will enjoy the sights with you, and then charm us with incredible performances by night. Aboard the luxurious Silver Shadow, we depart from San Juan and sail through the beautiful Caribbean waters. You will explore some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region, stopping in St. Thomas, St. Barts, Les Saintes, Bridgetown, St. John’s, and St. Maarten.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
San Juan is a major metropolis, radiating out from the bay on the Atlantic Ocean that was discovered by Juan Ponce de León.
St. Thomas
Although other islands in the USVI developed plantation economies, St. Thomas cultivated its harbor, and it became a thriving seaport soon after it was settled by the Danish in the 1600s.
St. Barts
Red roofed buildings speckle the lush tropical landscape in Gustavia, St. Bart's tiny, relaxed Caribbean capital whose historic sites can be reached in one day of trekking around town.
Les Saintes
This small group of islands lies opposite the western part of Guadeloupe. They were discovered in November 1493 by Columbus, who named them Los Santos. French settlers established themselves in 1648 and changed the name to Iles des Saintes, commonly known as Les Saintes.
Bridgetown
Bridgetown, the captivating capital of Barbados, combines faded colonial history, captivating tradition, and vivid white beaches plucked directly from your richest imagination of Caribbean perfection.
St. John's
Antigua's capital, with some 45,000 inhabitants (approximately half the island's population), lies at sea level at the inland end of a sheltered northwestern bay.
St. Maarten
Philipsburg, the capital of Dutch St. Maarten stretches about a mile (1½ km) along an isthmus between Great Bay and the Salt Pond and has five parallel streets.
