How is a Playbill Travel cruise different than a "regular" cruise?

After I make a reservation, when do you need a deposit?
Please visit the Fares & Inclusions page where you may find Payment & Cancellation Policies listed at the bottom of the page. Payment & Cancellation Policies vary by sailing. Bookings not deposited as per this schedule will automatically be cancelled.
Are children allowed?
Of course! Please note that our ships are not equipped with childcare or kid-only activities. We recommend our trips for passengers age 12 and up, but a theatre lover is a theatre lover at any age.
Are gratuities included?Yes, onboard the ship only.
Are there cabins that can accommodate third passengers?
There are a select number of cabins that can accommodate three people. They can be reserved upon a space available basis upon request.
What is the price for a single traveler?
Based on the nature of a full ship charter, Suites and most Staterooms are priced based on double occupancy. Single guests would then be subject to this pricing and therefore pay the double occupancy fare, or 200% of the per person rate. On some Playbill Cruises, however, single traveler discounts are available for select cabin options. Please refer to the specific Fares and Inclusions page for the particular cruise(s) you are interested in or call 866-455-6789 for more information.
What if I am celebrating a special occasion?If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, renewal of vows, honeymoon, or other special occasion during your cruise, allow us to celebrate with you. Please advise us of such occasions between four and six weeks prior to departure.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please advise Playbill Travel of any special dietary requirements you may have at least 60 days prior to sailing. General dietary needs such as low-salt or low-cholesterol foods can be satisfied on board the ship simply by speaking with the dining wait staff.
What should I pack?
We recommend that you pack the following travel essentials:
- Comfortable cool clothing of natural fibers
- Elegant resort wear for evenings
- Sun hat, sunglasses, sun block – strongly recommended
- Swimsuit and pool slippers
- Beach cover-ups
- Swimming T-shirt (or Lycra® top), preferably long sleeved
- Insect repellent
- Travel alarm clock
- Reef shoes
- Jacket or sweater for cool evenings
If you require prescription medication, be sure to bring enough to last for your entire vacation. It’s also a good idea to bring the prescription for your eyeglasses. In addition, many travelers assemble a basic traveling medicine kit that includes such items as an over-the-counter pain medication, antacids and other over-the-counter stomach remedies, sunscreen, Band-Aids, antiseptic spray and wipes, the antibiotic you generally use, and an elastic bandage. Please note that complimentary snorkeling equipment is available on board.
Can you please clarify the rules around passports, visas, and inoculations?
Passports are the only requirement for passengers from the U.S., Canada, and European Community countries. Passports for all travelers must be valid for six months from their return date. Passengers from other countries should inquire with relevant authorities or a visa service company. Consult your healthcare professional for any inoculations you may require, or contact the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) toll-free at 1-800-CDC-INFO (1-800-232-4636) or online at www.cdc.gov/travel.
Are all drinks included? Even alcohol?Yes. Your all-inclusive cruise fare includes select wines and spirits. Only premium liquors, specialty wines, and certain Cognacs incur an additional charge.
When do I receive tickets and documentation?
After receipt of final payment and required guest information, cruise documents will be sent to guests approximately three weeks prior to departure.
What is the dress code?
The recommended onboard dress in the evenings is elegant casual resort wear. Dinner dress includes skirt, or slacks with blouse or sweater, pant suit or dress for ladies; slacks and collared shirt for gentlemen. Sport jackets are optional. Jeans, shorts, T-shirts or tennis shoes are not to be worn at dinner. Ties are not required.
When can I book shore excursions?
Playbill Travel will alert guests via email as to when booking becomes available if it is prior to the cruise departure.
