Broadway on the High Seas 6 in the Caribbean

Playbill Travel's Broadway on the High Seas 6 sailed the warm waters of the Caribbean, roundtrip from San Juan, Puerto Rico, from February 12-19, 2016.

Broadway on the High Seas 6 sailed the Caribbean February 12-19, 2016. It was Playbill Travel's first winter getaway and sixth voyage. Guests escaped the coldest month of winter and explored idyllic isles to chase the winter blues away.

Broadway on the High Seas 6 boasted the innumerable talents of Tony Yazbeck, Laura Osnes, Karen Mason, Bryan Batt, and returning members of the Playbill Travel family, Christine Ebersole, Liz Callaway, Lewis Black, and Christine Pedi. For the first time, the great John McDaniel served as musical director and accompanist.

Silversea Cruises’ 294-guest Silver Wind served as a Broadway oasis for this seven night cruise. The spa onboard offered a wide range of invigorating therapies, including facials, body wraps, salon treatments, and massages. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a round of roulette or blackjack in the ship’s casino or take their camera to the ship’s observation lounge for pristine panoramic ocean views, ideal for photography of spectacular Caribbean sunsets. There was more fun to be had on dry land, as well.

Signature sailing experiences included intimate onboard performances, lively discussions, interactive events, and specialty programming by Broadway’s top award-winning performers.

Ports of Call

Beginning in San Juan and visiting the islands of St. Barts, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda, and Tortola, the magnificent Silver Wind took guests on a tour of some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.

San Juan, Puerto Rico
Broadway on the High Seas 6 sailed roundtrip from beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Gustavia, St. Barts
This French West Indies island had a variety of scuba and snorkeling options (for scuba-certified divers) that allowed us to check out the remarkable ocean wildlife.
Roseau, Dominica
Roseau is Dominica’s compact, noisy, chaotic but vibrant capital, situated on the southwest coast along the Roseau River.
Bridgetown, Barbados
Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, is a port city on the island’s southwest coast known for its British colonial architecture.
Castries, St. Lucia
The main city of St Lucia's best feature is the soaring Morne Fortune, which serves as the town's scenic backdrop.
St. John's, Antigua & Barbuda
Tours through scenic Antigua brought us closer to the island’s history, including Nelson’s Dockyard and the ruins of a fort at Shirley Heights.
Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Tortola is the largest of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. It features several white-sand beaches, including Cane Garden Bay and Smuggler’s Cove.
