S.S. Catherine

The S.S. Catherine, Uniworld River Cruises' 159-passenger riverboat, is a beautiful ship with sumptuous materials and meticulous attention to detail. The vessel’s opulent interiors include a two-story lobby with a specially commissioned Murano glass chandelier and whimsical life-size glass horse. Broadway on the Rhône River departs on May 21, 2017 from the city of Avignon, France in partnership with Uniworld, who were chosen by Travel + Leisure Magazine as the "World’s Best River Cruise Line" in 2016.

There is a huge open top sundeck that can accommodate all of it passengers. The sundeck is filled with comfortable lounge chairs with helpful sturdy trays for great books, glasses of Burgundy wine and newspapers open to crossword puzzles. It is the perfect setting to lounge in while watching the shores of the Rhône River unfold their beauty and history.

The third level of the ship, called the Carmargue Deck houses 29 suites and cabins, the Van Gogh Lounge, the petite but beautiful pool and the Bar du Leopard. These two areas for gathering are comfortable, attractive and filled with attentive waiters, bartenders and a professionally trained sommelier. The Carmargue Deck also features very accomodating outdoor terraces to enjoy sun and fresh air but not be too far from a friendly server.

The Avignon Deck on the second level has 38 cabins, the Serenity Spa, reception desk and the Cezanne Restaurant. Every meal is served at the Cezzane with augmentation supplied by the Bar du Leopard for late riser’s breakfasts. The dinner menu changes every day and the chefs take advantage of the ample local markets which directly provision the ship daily with fresh produce, dairy, eggs and baked goods from exquisite local boulangeries.

The first level, the Saint Remy Deck, houses 13 cabins, the boutique and the well-appointed fitness center. Every floor has a 24-hour coffee/tea station and a selection of cookies, candies and snacks.
